Many types of liquid drugs disguised as strawberry or mango drinks are being used for consumption.
On November 2, the Ministry of Public Security issued a warning, stating that recent reports from various units and localities have highlighted the sophisticated methods of disguising synthetic drugs. Through ongoing investigations, the police have confiscated drug packages disguised as strawberry-flavored powdered drink mixes.

Inside these attractively packaged bags is a cloudy white powder with a strawberry scent. Upon examination, the main component of this powder was found to be the synthetic drug MDMA. Another method of disguising drugs involves packages containing powder in eye-catching wrappers printed with images of strawberries, labeled “Crispy Fruit”; and listing ingredients typically found in fruit beverages.
However, the packaging does not provide any information about the manufacturer or the origin of the product. According to initial statements from the arrested individuals, these powder packages are a form of narcotics. The police reported that in addition to drugs disguised as “strawberry drinks,” some localities have discovered drugs in the form of “mango drinks,” which contain Bromazepam.
Bromazepam is a drug that is already listed but has been disguised in a completely new way, mixed into drinks to induce euphoria and enhance sexual performance for users.
It is known that bromazepam is classified as a Schedule III controlled substance under Decree 73/2018/ND-CP dated May 15, 2018, which regulates the list of narcotic substances and precursors. Bromazepam is commonly used in medical settings and belongs to the Benzodiazepine class of psychoactive drugs. This substance is only to be used under a doctor’s prescription due to its potential for addiction. This is because it has effects that reduce stress and anxiety, serves as a sedative, induces sleep, and relaxes muscles…
Moreover, the use of bromazepam has numerous side effects. Doctors typically prescribe dosages for adults ranging from 6-18mg, divided into multiple doses; however, the effectiveness and safety of this substance for individuals under 18 years of age have yet to be proven.
Although it is used in medicine, prolonged use of bromazepam can lead to numerous harmful effects similar to those of narcotics, such as: incoherent speech, irritability, rapid heartbeat, hallucinations, excessive sweating, and irrational fears… It can also lead to increased aggression, resentment, and loss of behavioral control.
This is a new method targeting youth, students, and scholars, posing serious dangers and unpredictable harms to society. Therefore, parents need to be vigilant and manage their children’s exposure to such substances.
