The Dutch submarine manufacturer U-Boat Worx has just launched the Super Sub electric submarine, featuring a bullet-shaped design and capable of operating continuously for 8 hours.
According to U-Boat Worx, with a maximum speed of 16 km/h, the Super Sub runs nearly three times faster than current luxury submarine models, even surpassing the average swimming speed of a bottlenose dolphin.

The company’s marketing director, Roy Heijdra, stated that the base model of the Super Sub has a starting price of $5.8 million.
Heijdra mentioned that this submarine targets both private customers and commercial ventures. “It wouldn’t be surprising to see a luxury resort operating a Super Sub in the near future,” he said.
With a length of 5.3 meters and a height of 2.2 meters, this submarine weighs nearly 9 tons, providing comfortable seating for two passengers and one pilot.
In comparison, its “competitor”, the Deepflight Dragon, is only 5 meters long, 1 meter high, and has a maximum speed of 7.5 km/h.
The Super Sub utilizes ultra-light lithium-ion batteries along with a 62-kilowatt propulsion system, allowing it to operate underwater for 8 hours on a single charge. The submarine has enough oxygen to sustain life for 96 hours.
This vessel can dive to depths of 300 meters, with its entire body made of transparent acrylic, promising the most thrilling experience for users.
