In an interview with reporters, Mr. Nguyễn Hữu Thành – Deputy Head of the Weather Forecasting Department at the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, stated that currently, due to the influence of cold air along with rain, the provinces in the Northeast region, including the capital Hanoi, are experiencing cold and rainy weather.
“In the next couple of days, the cold air will gradually weaken, so the cold will mainly occur at night and early in the morning,” Mr. Thành noted.
The Deputy Head of the Weather Forecasting Department further added: “According to our forecast, there is a possibility of another cold air wave accompanied by rain starting from the night of October 20, which will cause temperatures to drop again. From the night of October 21 to 23, the North will experience cold weather.”

The National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting reports that from October 19 to 28, the Northwest region will have scattered rain, particularly from October 21 to 22, with showers and isolated thunderstorms, and locally moderate to heavy rain. Cold weather is expected from the night of October 18 and from October 22 to 23.
Northeast region: From October 20 to 28, there will be scattered rain, especially from the night of October 20 to 21, with showers and isolated thunderstorms, and locally moderate to heavy rain. Thunderstorms may bring whirlwinds, lightning, hail, and strong winds. Cold weather is expected on October 22 and 23.
Area from Thanh Hóa to Thừa Thiên Huế: From the night of October 19 to 20, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms. Thunderstorms may bring whirlwinds, lightning, hail, and strong winds.
From October 21, the North will have scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms, locally moderate to heavy rain, followed by scattered rain; the South will experience scattered showers and thunderstorms, with rain in the evening and night, locally moderate to heavy rain.
