On July 1, Mr. Lê Trung Hiếu, Deputy Head of the Hanoi Urban Railway Management Board, announced that the Nhổn – Hanoi Station urban railway project (Metro Line 3) has received 6 out of 10 trains and is currently in the interlocking system testing phase. The project’s trains have begun trial operations on the elevated section of 8.5 km, from Nhổn Depot Station to S8 Station (Nhổn – Cầu Giấy) and back.
“The contractor has basically completed independent testing and is simultaneously conducting integrated interlocking system tests for each subgroup, including train testing. The interlocking tests will be carried out by international experts from the contractor, ensuring compliance with the technical requirements and procedures of the project,” Mr. Lê Trung Hiếu stated.
The interlocking testing aims to evaluate and ensure the connectivity between the component systems, as well as to ensure that the functions of the entire Nhổn – Hanoi Station railway system are performed safely and stably when put into operation. After completing the interlocking tests, the project will move to the trial operation phase.
