Pilot David Evans recently encountered a tornado while flying over the skies of the United States. His wife shared a rare video of this phenomenon on Twitter.
The Washington Post reported that Evans spotted a wide, weak, invisible vortex that quickly got sucked into a cloud above. The vortex intensified, and subsequently, a funnel-shaped cloud with its base touching the ground formed.
“It was really beautiful,” Evans told The Washington Post, “It looked like a mouse’s tail.”
