In recent days, the Valencia region of Spain has endured the worst flooding disaster in the modern history of the country following a massive downpour on October 29 that submerged the city within just eight hours.
As of November 2, 2024, at least 211 people have been confirmed dead due to this disaster, with many residential areas also suffering severe damage.
According to images shared on social media, during the heavy rainfall, a terrifying tornado also struck a famous coastal town in southern Spain, causing significant traffic disruptions, uprooting trees, and tossing small boats into the sea.

A video recorded on the highway captures the chaotic scene, with the sound of a truck driver screaming in panic as he films the disaster, with large trucks overturning right before his eyes in the strong winds.
“Look, a storm, a storm. Look! The trucks in front of me have been overturned. The vehicle next to me has shattered windows. I’m really in danger” – the driver says in the video.
It is reported that the heavy rain accompanied by the tornado and flooding in Valencia is considered one of the deadliest natural disasters related to flooding to strike the country in nearly 30 years.
