At 15:12 local time on November 3rd, the Shenzhou-18 crewed spacecraft from China separated from the Tiangong space station, bringing three astronauts back to Earth.
According to the China Manned Space Agency (CMSA), prior to separation, the Shenzhou-18 crew, with assistance from ground staff, completed multiple tasks including establishing the status of the space station complex, processing and transmitting experimental data, transferring remaining supplies, and conducting handover procedures with the Shenzhou-19 crew.
China launched the crewed Shenzhou-19 spacecraft on October 30th, sending three astronauts to the Tiangong space station for a six-month mission.
During this mission, the Shenzhou-19 astronaut team will conduct 86 space science research projects and technical experiments, engage in extravehicular activities, and install protective equipment to shield the Tiangong station from space debris.
The astronauts will also participate in science education activities, community welfare programs, and several payload tests throughout their mission.
