This is a new invention by scientists at the Central Institute of Robotics and Control Technology in St. Petersburg, Russia.
The tiny airplane weighs only 400 grams and is primarily designed for surveillance. It has its own engine and is equipped with an internal digital camera. Controlled remotely, it can fly for several hours continuously at various altitudes, allowing this “mobile eye” to reach narrow areas as directed by the operator. This capability enables it to detect unusual signs promptly to prevent potential sabotage. Additionally, it is used to assess damage in disaster-stricken areas, evaluate incidents at factories, detect imminent malfunctions, or be deployed in military operations.
