Honey, also known as white flower high or white flower essence, is a readily available product in our country. The main components of honey include various sugars such as dextrose and fructose, organic acids, and digestive enzymes. Honey is widely used in the fields of medicine and health care.
1. In the field of aesthetics: Due to its moisturizing and lubricating properties, honey is made into a balm for chapped lips.
Honey is also used as a skin softener (in facial masks) that helps nourish the skin, reduce wrinkles in women, retain moisture, and remove keratinized cells from the skin.
Usage: Wash your face with warm water to open up the pores, then apply the honey mask on your skin. After that, rinse your face with cold water to remove the mask. Doing this 2-3 times a week will give you a white, rosy complexion without wrinkles.
2. In medicine: Honey is used to treat several common ailments such as:
– Calming effects, promoting better sleep.
Usage: Mix 2-3 tablespoons of honey with freshly squeezed lemon or orange juice in a glass of cool water to drink before bedtime.
– Treating sore throat, laryngitis, hoarseness, and coughing.
Usage: Peel 5-10 garlic cloves and place them in a jar of honey (70-100 ml) to soak for 2-3 days before use. Take 3-4 times a day, one spoonful each time. When giving to children, dilute with a little water, taking 3-4 times a day, one teaspoon each time.
– Healing gastric and duodenal ulcers. Due to honey’s antibacterial properties, it is particularly effective against H. Pylori, a type of bacterium that causes ulcers in the stomach, thus honey is used to heal these ulcers.
Usage: Drink 10 ml of honey mixed with a glass of warm water daily, sip gradually until finished. After a while, the ulcer will heal. Honey can be mixed with turmeric powder or made into honey-turmeric pills for consumption.
– Rejuvenation treatment for impotence:
In urology, royal jelly is used to treat male impotence, improve both the quantity and quality of sperm, and enhance stiffness and ejaculation due to its content of fats, proteins, cysteine, and various vitamins.
Usage: Consume 15-20 ml of royal jelly daily.
3. In the field of nutrition: Honey is an excellent food source because it contains two types of sugars: dextrose, which provides energy for the body due to its quick absorption in the intestines, and fructose, which helps maintain blood sugar levels. Bee pollen is also used, often in pill form, to provide energy, combat fatigue, and boost mental alertness due to its content of proteins, carbohydrates, vitamins, and minerals that promote overall health.
