From November 15 to 18, a Vietnam-U.S. workshop on water pollution control technology will take place in Hanoi, co-sponsored by the Vietnam Education Foundation (VEF) and the Center for High Technology Research and Telemedicine.
The workshop will cover topics including water management and usage, water pollution control, wastewater treatment technologies, and strategies to enhance cooperation in this field between the U.S. and Vietnam.
The goal of the workshop is to strengthen scientific and technological cooperation in environmental protection, particularly in combating water pollution, between the U.S. and Vietnam. The co-sponsors hope that the workshop will serve as a foundation for long-term collaboration between the scientific communities of both countries in the area of water environment.
More than 100 delegates are expected to attend the workshop, including policymakers, scientists from both Vietnam and abroad, as well as representatives from various Vietnamese agencies and organizations. Six scientists from leading universities in the U.S. will participate and present at the workshop.
