Vietnam’s Neighbor Discovers 17,000 Trillion Tons of Super Treasure Worth $200 Billion.
The colossal treasure is a coal mine discovered in northwestern China, with a total value exceeding $200 billion. This is a surface coal mine covering an area of 42.36 km2 and an average thickness of 28.8 meters. China considers coal mines with a thickness of over 15 meters to be special-grade, and this mine has set a new record.
The discovery of this coal mine means that China will gradually reduce its dependence on imported coal. (Illustrative image).
Coal is widely used in production and daily life. Specifically, coal serves as fuel for steam engines, locomotives, thermal power plants, and in metallurgy. Recently, coal has also been utilized in the chemical industry to produce products such as pharmaceuticals, plastics, and synthetic fibers.
Furthermore, coal provides light and electricity to people, enhancing convenience in daily life and transportation. Notably, the cost of electricity production from coal is low, which is why China and many other countries still rely on coal for electricity generation to meet their energy needs.
Despite China’s current focus on producing electricity and using wind energy scientifically, the economic value of these energy sources is lower compared to coal-fired electricity generation. Additionally, many steel manufacturing companies still depend on coking coal.
Currently, China categorizes coal into three main types: thermal coal, coking coal, and coal for the chemical industry, all of which are widely used and form an indispensable supply chain relationship with various industries. As a result, China’s manufacturing sector cannot do without the treasure of coal resources.
For many years, China has continuously imported coal from Australia. After discovering the treasure trove of 17,000 trillion tons of coal valued at approximately $200 billion, China will gradually reduce its reliance on imported coal.
Following the discovery of this coal treasure, China has planned to mine it safely and sustainably. Specifically, China will employ intelligent coal mining technology, with all mining machines operated remotely. The operator only needs to click a mouse, and the cutters, conveyors, transfer machines, and other underground mining equipment hundreds of meters deep will operate sequentially. The entire process is separated from human and machinery to ensure safety and efficiency.
Moreover, AI smart cameras are equipped to monitor coal quantities to achieve energy-saving goals and adjust speeds. A measuring device is installed in the coal mine to detect the levels of the coal seam to achieve system integration. Through building infrastructure and integrating smart information systems, the coal mining process no longer requires human oversight.
Alongside this, an integrated smart power supply platform system transmits real-time data and has remote control capabilities. This system is equipped with smart access control, high-resolution cameras, and other means to facilitate energy conversion.
The integration of new-generation technologies into the coal industry has tapped into the enormous potential of building intelligent coal mines. By fully integrating artificial intelligence, 5G, the Internet of Things, cloud computing, big data, robots, and smart devices with the development and utilization of modern coal, China has established intelligent coal mining operations based on three principles.
The first is modeling and establishing an intelligent coordination control center. The second is high-speed transmission using 5G technology. The third is constructing an intelligent mine architecture with an automated control system.
Additionally, experts believe that in the future, the development of intelligent coal mining processes must be tailored for each mine, with a strategy for each site, and gradually promoted at various levels, stages, and priorities.
Together with this, promoting scientific and technological innovation, focusing on breakthroughs in core technologies, and establishing standards for constructing intelligent coal mines is essential to drive a technological leap forward.
