On November 21-22, in Quang Ngai, the Ministry of Science and Technology, in collaboration with the People’s Committee of Quang Ngai Province, organized a conference titled “Science and Technology Serving Economic and Social Development in the South Central Coast and Central Highlands Regions from 2006 to 2010“.
Nearly 20 scientific reports presented at the conference focused on issues such as selecting plant and livestock varieties suitable for the ecological conditions of localities, as well as adopting cultivation techniques for certain seafood species like abalone and cobia from some northern provinces to guide the people in the South Central Coast provinces.
The scientists also discussed solutions for transferring and applying advanced techniques into economic development models in remote, mountainous provinces, aiming to enhance production efficiency and improve the living standards of the local population.
