The artisans used a rotating table to create the giant string cheese, also known as Oaxaca cheese.
Upon completion, the cheese weighed in at 636,196 kg, breaking the previous record.
The Guinness World Records organization shared a video showing the steps involved in making this string cheese. Participants used over 10,000 liters of milk to produce the cheese strands and wrap them into a massive cheese ball.
This cheese, weighing 636,196 kg, surpassed the previous record of 558 kg set by 80 artisans in Pijijiapan, Chiapas last year.
