Animal manure and chicken manure bags at Mr. Nguyen Tan Danh’s farm |
Despite the government’s ban, fish farming households in the Tri An lake area continue to dump livestock and chicken manure into the lake.
Not long ago, there was a significant issue with the use of livestock and chicken manure in the flooding area of Tri An lake. Local authorities in Dinh Quan district and various departments of Dong Nai province have formed inspection teams to address this issue, demanding an immediate halt to the discharge of waste into the lake.
However, on the morning of November 29, when our reporter visited the flooding area of Tri An lake, it was observed that bags of manure were still being dumped into the lake (specifically in a pond belonging to a household in Hamlet 2, Phu Ngoc commune)… Additionally, there were still bags of manure piled up on the bank of Mr. Khoat’s pond (a tax officer in Dong Nai province).

Bags of manure continue to be “dumped” into Tri An lake for feeding fish |
The case of livestock and chicken manure bags at Mr. Nguyen Tan Danh’s farm – former Commander of the Dong Nai Provincial Military Command – still exists, causing environmental pollution in the surrounding area of the lake, which has yet to be addressed?!
According to the residents of Tri An, the situation of dumping manure into Tri An lake has significantly decreased after media reports, however, there are still instances of trucks secretly transporting and collecting the manure at night to avoid inspections by authorities…
In a conversation with our reporter on the afternoon of November 29, Mr. Pham Minh Dao – Chief of the Office of Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee stated that they would continue to direct relevant departments to inspect and address any recurrence of manure dumping into the lake.
