An Indian student has set a Guinness World Record by turning a pen into the smallest vacuum cleaner in the world.

Tapala Nadamuni (23 years old) spent up to $238 (approximately 5.9 million VND) to convert his pen into a vacuum cleaner that measures just 0.65 cm, excluding the handle and power cord.
Nadamuni explained that this ultra-small vacuum generates suction thanks to a tiny centrifugal fan powered by a 4-volt vibrating motor. This world’s smallest vacuum cleaner fully performs the function of suction and can even dispose of the collected debris.
According to UPI, Nadamuni himself held a similar record in 2020 when he created a vacuum cleaner measuring 0.85 cm.

Creating sufficient suction was challenging for Nadamuni. He had to make additional design changes when he faced issues during testing.
Nadamuni’s vacuum cleaner is primarily made from a pen, supplemented with a bit of plastic and metal.
Nadamuni shared with Guinness World Records: “All the students at my school are amazed by this ultra-small vacuum cleaner. My department even said it is the most beautiful creation.” Inventing gadgets has been Nadamuni’s passion since he was a child.
