Weather at tourist destinations nationwide during the National Day holiday on September 2: What should be noted?

During the 4-day National Day holiday from September 2 (from August 31 to September 3), the weather in Northern Vietnam is favorable for transportation and tourism activities; however, heavy rain is expected in the South during the afternoon and night.

According to the National Center for Hydrometeorological Forecasting (General Department of Meteorology and Hydrology, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment), during the National Day holiday from September 2 (lasting 4 days from August 31 to September 3), the weather in the North is generally sunny during the day, with scattered rain and thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening; specifically, the Central Highlands and Southern regions will experience intermittent sunshine during the day, with heavy to very heavy rain in the afternoon and night.

On the morning of August 30, a representative from the National Center for Hydrometeorological Forecasting stated that during the 4-day holiday, the weather in Northern Vietnam is generally sunny during the day; thunderstorms and scattered rain are expected in the evening and night but will subside quickly. The highest temperatures across Northern Vietnam during the National Day holiday are expected to range from 24 to 34 degrees Celsius.

Throughout the 4-day holiday, the weather in the Central region is expected to be sunny during the day, with scattered rain and thunderstorms in the evening. Temperatures will range from 24 to 37 degrees Celsius. In the South Central region, localized heavy rain is expected in the afternoon and night of August 31.

In the Central Highlands and Southern regions, the weather during the 4-day holiday will generally be intermittent sunshine during the day, with rain, thunderstorms, and localized heavy rain expected in the evening. Temperatures will range from 19 to 32 degrees Celsius.

In Ho Chi Minh City, the weather throughout the 4-day holiday will generally be intermittently sunny, with rain, moderate rain, and thunderstorms in the evening and night; the probability of rain is 80-90%. Temperatures will range from 24 to 32 degrees Celsius.
In Sa Pa (Lao Cai), the weather will generally be sunny during the day, with no rain at night, but scattered rain and thunderstorms are expected in the evening of August 31. Temperatures will range from 17 to 24 degrees Celsius.
In Ha Long City, it is expected to be sunny during the day, with no rain at night; however, there may be scattered rain and thunderstorms on August 31 and September 2. Temperatures will range from 24 to 33 degrees Celsius.
