If you have ever used screen recording software on your Desktop for creating lectures or instructional videos to make them more vibrant and visual, you’ll find that this task is quite easy with many software options available on the market today. However, if you plan to save the actions you performed on your Desktop and store them on the Internet, the process can be quite complicated. This is because the saved files are typically stored in formats like AVI or MPEG, which tend to be large, consuming significant resources.
However, if you have the software called Screen 2 Webflash, all of this work becomes extremely simple. Once you finish recording your actions, they will be saved in the SWF format, which is relatively small, allowing you to easily store and upload them to your personal websites without consuming too many resources.
The first step you need to take is to download this program from the following link: http://www.cadkas.de/screenflash!.exe, which is an 800KB demo version compatible with all operating systems. After downloading, you can proceed with the installation as usual. Upon launching this program, you will see its main functions:
– Record Screen Action Tab: This function captures all activities on your Desktop. To start recording, you should select the area of activity by choosing the option “Select Whole Screen” to record the entire screen or click on “Select Screen Area…” and “drag the mouse” to select the area you want to capture. After that, click the “Record Now” button (Alt + Ctrl + F11) to begin recording and to end the recording process. Note that you should remember the shortcut for the Record function to make the recording process easier. If you forget the Stop shortcut and press Stop at the end of your recording, the program will also capture that action. Additionally, pay attention to the “Frames per Second” option (the minimum is 1 and the maximum is 120; the higher, the better) and “Image Compression” (the compression ratio ranges from 1 to 100; the smaller, the better). You can easily adjust these settings, which will improve the image quality, meaning that the Flash files after saving will also be significantly larger.
– Edit Animation Tab: This function allows you to add special effects after your recording is complete. When you click this option, you can easily create additional effects for your Flash segment, such as inserting new objects, adding text for important notes, or including additional images. Of course, to do this, you can explore the various important tools available in this section to enhance your work while also boosting your creativity and thinking skills.
– Create Flash Movie Tab: This is where you save and export the Flash files after recording. This is the final and most crucial step. To save the images after recording, click on the “Create Flash Files” option, then enter the name and path for saving, and you’re done. The program also allows you to export the Flash segment along with accompanying HTML code if you check the option “Also Create HTML Files.”
After saving, you can easily open those SWF files or upload them to your personal website with relatively low file sizes while maintaining good image quality.
