The Department of Animal Health (Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development) announced that as of December 17, there have been no new outbreaks reported nationwide. Currently, seven provinces have gone 21 days without any reported cases: Bac Giang, Hoa Binh, Thai Binh, Hung Yen, Long An, Hai Duong, and Phu Tho.

Currently, there are still 82 communes and wards across 44 districts in 14 provinces and cities where outbreaks have occurred within the last 21 days, including Bac Ninh, Cao Bang, Ninh Binh, Son La, Thai Nguyen, Thanh Hoa, Hai Phong, Vinh Phuc, Quang Ninh, Nghe An, Ha Giang, Yen Bai, Quang Tri, and Bac Kan.
Since October 1, a total of 3.621 million poultry have been culled (including those in urban areas).
Regarding vaccination progress, as of December 17, 14 provinces have completed administering two doses of the vaccine, with over 67 million poultry vaccinated. 29 provinces and cities are currently administering the second dose, while the remaining provinces are in the process of administering the first dose. The total number of vaccinations administered is 196 million, including 131 million chickens and 65 million ducks.
