Intel has announced that it will replace its iconic 37-year-old logo with a new, more impressive, deeper, and more specific logo… to help the company maintain its dominance in the global computer chip market.
Currently, Intel has not officially introduced any new logo to the public, but insiders indicate that the “Intel Inside” symbol will be streamlined to just “Intel” surrounded by an oval, while the word “Inside” will still be used but will be placed under each specific Intel chip brand.
The new Intel logo will feature a darker shade of blue compared to the somewhat bright blue of the old logo. The renowned “Intel Inside” symbol has been globally recognized since the early 1990s, a time when desktop computers began to explode in popularity.
The new Intel logo will be detailed for each product in a consistent manner. The famous “Intel” symbol will always be placed at the top of the logo, followed by the logo of each individual product.
Paul Otellini, the CEO of Intel, stated that the company will officially unveil the new logos at the Consumer Electronics Show taking place next week in Las Vegas. Eric Kim, Intel’s marketing director, mentioned: “Intel’s new slogan will be ‘Intel. Leap ahead‘, which is a simple slogan but constantly reminds us who we are and what we are doing. This slogan will be a very valuable part of our assets“.
