Eurotechs Group has recently unveiled the Wearable Computer WWPC – a digital personal assistant that is worn on the wrist, equipped with a proper CPU and wireless connectivity similar to conventional PCs and PDAs.
The WWPC is designed like a wristwatch with a compact strap, but it is larger than a typical watch due to its 72x55mm touchscreen that serves as the display, functioning like that of a PC or PDA. It supports stylus input, features soft keys, and a joystick for navigation.
Equipped with a low-power CPU, the WWPC includes 32MB of ROM and 64MB of SDRAM. It supports a 1GB SD memory card and offers GPS positioning, Bluetooth, infrared, and wireless Wi-Fi 802.11b connectivity. The hardware structure of the WWPC is designed to protect against shocks and vibrations from hand movements. Additionally, the WWPC features a USB HI port, a speaker, a microphone, and stereo headphones. It is powered by a rechargeable Li-Polymer battery, which lasts up to six hours on a single charge, and weighs 200 grams.
