After nearly two years of research and design, on January 10, engineer Lê Minh Hải and his team at Đồng Minh Gas Services Company (Vung Tau City) successfully tested a gas-powered three-wheeled garbage collection motorcycle.
The advantages of this vehicle include high safety, zero environmental pollution, and effective waste collection in residential areas while transporting waste on the streets to transfer stations. Depending on the capacity of the garbage bin, the cost of such a vehicle ranges from 30 to 40 million VND.
In an interview, Mr. Nguyễn Viết Long – the director of Vung Tau Urban Management Company – stated that in the near future, the company will propose to the relevant authorities to allow them to develop a project to convert 400 gasoline-powered manual garbage collection motorcycles to gas.
