A scientist once joked that the biggest difference between a woman and a television is that women can read the emotions of those around them and respond appropriately.

The concept of a media player that can read the listener’s emotions has emerged and gradually taken shape…
The headquarters of Walt Disney in California has proposed the idea of a music player that can automatically play songs based on the user’s mood. This idea has begun to be put into practice.
Initially, measurements of skin temperature, humidity, and pulse rate of individuals were taken. These three metrics were used to build a database regarding the general mood of people. The music player would record these metrics, and by comparing them with the database, it would determine the user’s mood and play corresponding songs.
The next development step of the idea includes playing videos and, if necessary, downloading “moods” that it does not yet recognize directly from the Internet. The database will be continuously enriched and updated, along with a thorough classification of corresponding music genres.
Day by day, this machine has become the first music player capable of recognizing its owner’s mood. Such intricate execution raises questions about its effectiveness. Surely, no answers are needed.
