Dad is a very “strict” person. When his daughter asked for permission to go out with her boyfriend, he immediately gave her some advice:

– What does “look down on” mean, Dad?
– Don’t let them kiss you.
When the daughter returned from her outing, Dad quickly asked:
– So? You didn’t let them look down on you, right?
– Don’t worry, Dad. The more they “look down on” me, the more I look down on them, to keep things even!
