This high-tech weapon system was unveiled in 2003 and has since been utilized by various special forces around the globe. Currently, Corner Shot is equipped with most special forces units, including those using GLOCK, SIG SAUER, CZ, and BERETTA firearms.
Corner Shot features a high-resolution detachable camera and a display screen that allows users to observe targets from multiple advantageous positions. The removable camera enables these forces to accurately scan images of adversaries and relay them to team members in the rear or to the main display at command centers.
The system was invented by Amos Golan, a former commander of the Israeli Counter-Terrorism Unit. With such a viewing capability, it allows security forces to protect themselves while engaging armed groups in urban environments.
Asaf Nadel, one of the founders of Corner Shot and a former commander of the Armored Corps and Secret Service, stated: “The Corner Shot system is designed in such a way that allows security forces to engage adversaries from the left, right, front, above, or below, and to change firing positions rapidly without having to remove their hands from the weapon. This helps shorten engagement times and increase accuracy in emergency situations. The device can be fired from behind cover without any obstruction.”
Corner Shot includes various devices such as a detachable camera with special features (zoom lens, functionality in both day and night, temperature detection), audio and image transmission systems, lasers, tactical flashlights, and more. It provides security forces with all the necessary equipment to respond quickly in close-quarters combat situations against guerrilla groups in urban settings.
