LG.Philips has confirmed that they have successfully developed a TFT LCD TV that is 1.5 times larger than the current 82-inch models. It also matches the size of the largest plasma screens available on the market.

The LG.Philips P7 is a wide-screen LCD TV measuring approximately 2.2 meters by 1.2 meters. The system supports a response time of 5 milliseconds and delivers an image quality of 6.22 million pixels. Additionally, the P7 achieves a maximum contrast ratio of 3000:1, a color reproduction rate of 92%, and a viewing angle of 180 degrees thanks to Super IPS technology.
Sang Deog Yeo, Deputy Director of the Development Center at LG.Philips LCD, stated: “The 100-inch screen is proof that we are a global leader in large LCD screen technology. Technical innovations for LCD TVs, such as the expansion to 100 inches, are crucial catalysts driving consumer demand for high-quality products.”
