Seismologists at the Russian Academy of Sciences have registered a patent considered a type of weapon that could induce earthquakes.
The patent is titled “Method for Redirecting the Movement Mode of Plates in Seismic Fault Segments“.
Scientists from the Geophysical Laboratory at the Earth’s Crust Institute in Lakursk, affiliated with the Russian Academy of Sciences, have confirmed that their patent application has been granted after two years of waiting.
Thus, for the first time in the world, scientists in Lakursk have received a patent for what is referred to in the West as an earthquake-inducing weapon.

Valerij Ruzhich sadly summarized years of research as follows: “The patent doesn’t change anything for our social welfare. Indeed, we have substantiated the method and experimentally proven that it is possible to control the movement of the earth’s crust in fault areas, thus allowing us to potentially control earthquakes.”
Following this event, the scenario may likely unfold as “patent granted, then forgotten.” The fact is that to date, scientists in Lakursk and Tomsk have had to use their own funds to create unique equipment and propose technologies, including conducting field experiments.
The unique equipment remains neglected, exposed to the elements, and repurposed for other uses such as preventing mining collapses.
Currently, scientists must continue to refine the technology by testing the equipment in major fault lines and regions prone to severe earthquakes.
If the achievements of these inventors are not particularly recognized in their homeland, they are receiving significant attention abroad.
Recently, a representative from an earthquake-prone Arab nation wrote a letter to the scientist, beginning with the phrase “For the Almighty.” It turns out that based on a news report on TV, they suggested negotiations regarding the extensive operations of Russian scientists in their country.
