Experts at the Nerve Regeneration Laboratory of Nantong University in Jiangsu, China, have successfully recreated nerves by connecting them to electronic chips.
Damaged nerves were connected to artificial nerve circuits and microchips were utilized to rebuild the damaged spinal cord. The high-tech laboratory in Jiangsu has tested and approved these artificial nerves and announced that they could be used for disease testing in the near future.
According to incomplete data, approximately 300,000 people in China suffer from nerve damage each year. The causes include injuries from labor, traffic accidents, and other incidents. Nerve regeneration is a key factor that helps patients recover some essential bodily functions.
