Just like humans, for the future of their fragile existence, “mother plants” find ways to “reproduce.” There are methods of reproduction in the plant kingdom that are unmatched, for example, some plants can deceive and attract insects to assist in pollination. A particular species of tropical orchid resembles a honeybee and can emit a scent similar to that of a queen bee to lure male bees. When the male bee approaches, pollen sticks to its head. However, the exact process of how pollination occurs remains a mystery.
In the Alps, there is also a very unique plant that has the ability to generate heat to facilitate seed germination. Before dispersing its seeds, it emits heat that melts the snow around it, allowing the seeds to fall to the ground rather than being exposed on frozen surfaces. It remains unclear how this plant can generate such significant amounts of heat.
Biologists are still researching to uncover these secrets, hoping to harness the miraculous energies from existing plants for human benefit.
