Purslane (also known as Portulaca oleracea) has a sour taste and a cooling property, making it non-toxic. In addition to treating pinworms, purslane is effective for acne treatment:
- Take a handful of fresh purslane (30-50 g), wash it thoroughly, crush it (or blend it), and extract the juice, setting it aside while keeping the pulp separate.
- Cleanse your face and pat it dry.
- Use a cotton ball to soak in the purslane juice and apply it to the areas with acne. You can reapply multiple times throughout the day, applying more whenever it dries.
- During a nap (or at night), you can apply the pulp and purslane juice on your face while you sleep.
With this method, not only will your skin feel pleasantly cool, but acne will gradually diminish. Those with dark spots or hyperpigmentation can also use this method to achieve a brighter and more radiant complexion.
