Da Nang City Signs Cooperation Agreement on Science and Technology and Human Resource Development with the Regional Political Academy 3 and Da Nang University
On April 14, the People’s Committee of Da Nang City held a ceremony to sign a cooperation agreement on science and technology (S&T) and human resource development for the period of 2006 – 2010 with Da Nang University and the Regional Political Academy 3 in Da Nang. The aim of this cooperation program is to leverage the internal potential in S&T and intellectual resources; to find proactive solutions to transform Da Nang into a modern and civilized city by 2010, as outlined in the Resolution of the 19th Congress of the Da Nang Party Committee.
With this goal, scientific research will be integrated with practical training, enhancing the human resources in S&T in the region, promoting scientific research efforts, and technology deployment. This will effectively make S&T a real production force and a lever to improve productivity and product quality, increasing the competitiveness of the economy, and effectively serving the socio-economic development of Da Nang City in the context of integration.
The cooperation program between the People’s Committee of Da Nang City, Da Nang University, and the Regional Political Academy 3 is implemented based on the principle of joint development and mutual benefits, creating a favorable legal framework for the research activities and S&T applications of Da Nang University and the Regional Political Academy 3 during the period from 2006 to 2010.
The cooperation agreement between the People’s Committee of Da Nang City and these two entities is concretized through three programs: Applied S&T research serving the development of Da Nang City, cooperation in implementing the city’s information technology development program until 2010, and training human resources to serve the industrialization and modernization of the city.
