The M5 model by Migaloo is a 165-meter superyacht that can function as a large submersible vessel, designed according to the owner’s preferences. When passengers no longer wish to enjoy the views above the water, they can operate the Migaloo M5 to dive beneath the ocean surface. In terms of exterior, several pressure chambers are distributed throughout the ship, supporting its double-hull structure. Inside the main pressure chamber, the owner can find two small submarines, which serve as auxiliary underwater transport, as reported by Design Boom on January 28.
According to Migaloo, the M5 superyacht and submersible come equipped with all necessary systems and waterproof safety equipment to protect all passengers in case of emergencies both above and below the water. Additionally, the M5 can accommodate an aircraft with a vertical take-off and landing area on the aft deck, as well as a helicopter hangar located in one of its pressure chambers. Beyond helicopters, it can transport drones, hot air balloons, SUVs, trucks, and pickup trucks, all safely stored within the yacht while submerged.
The exterior style and interior design of the superyacht depend on the owner’s preferences. The design team, led by executive director Christian Gumpold, can guide the owner in customizing the M5 with amenities of their choice, ranging from water sports areas to exploration facilities. Owners can opt for satellite TVs, interactive entertainment rooms, and even outdoor cinemas.
When the superyacht sets sail, its strong WiFi connection allows passengers to browse the internet both above and below the water. As night falls, the M5 lights up in the dark with a glowing blue light display, signaling its position in case the vessel goes off course.
