A video clip capturing the moment a crocodile unexpectedly lunges into a swimming pool to attack two tourists has become one of the standout animal moments of the week.

This heart-stopping incident was recorded by surveillance cameras at a hotel in Kariba, a popular resort town in Zimbabwe.
The footage shows two tourists enjoying a swim when suddenly a crocodile leaps into the pool and attacks them. While the young man quickly jumps to the shore to escape, the young woman is bitten on her back and elbow by the crocodile. She struggles to free herself from the crocodile’s jaws and manages to jump to safety.
Fortunately, the crocodile that attacked the two tourists was an immature Nile crocodile, allowing the tourists to escape. The young man was unharmed after the incident, while the young woman suffered multiple lacerations from the crocodile’s bite. She was subsequently taken to the hospital for treatment of her injuries.
Animal experts were called to the scene to capture the crocodile, which was later relocated to a remote area away from residential zones.
