Despite having caught a fish, a snake stubbornly tried to reclaim the bait, leaving the man astonished. This unexpected fishing scene was recorded in the northwest part of Harris County, Houston, USA.
As he pulled it out of the water, the snake remained tightly latched onto the fish.
Chase McCray was taken aback when he discovered a large snake clinging to the fish he had just caught. Even after pulling the bait out of the water, the reptile stubbornly held onto the fish and refused to let go.
The clip shows the snake coiling around the fish while McCray looks on in confusion. According to McCray, he eventually managed to separate the snake from the fish, although it took some effort. After pulling both away from each other, he released them back into the creek.
McCray stated: “I used a knife to detach the snake from the fish and then released the fish. The snake had some cuts from the knife, but I let it go as well.”
This isn’t the first time a fisherman has had to struggle with another creature over their catch. Previously, a crew on a charter boat in British Columbia, Canada, recorded a scene where an orca whale charged the boat after snatching a large salmon off a fisherman’s line.
