To catch this massive fish, Kelvin used a 2.13m fishing rod and a piece of bread. The recorded clip shows the enormous creature being lifted out of the water by Kelvin, Ray, his friend, and a local resident before the fish was released back.
The father of two from Bournemouth spoke to The Sun about his catch, saying: “I was shocked. I didn’t realize it was a record. I even received a t-shirt from the lake owner.
The four of us had to lift it together. I caught another fish weighing 102kg on October 2nd.”
It is reported that Kelvin and his companions flew to Thailand for a 12-day fishing trip.
Thai Carp is the largest carp species in the world, naturally found in river basins across Asia.
