A 15-year-old Sikh boy from India has just been recognized by the Guinness World Records as the male teenager with the longest hair in the world.
The boy, Sidakdeep Singh Chahal, 15 years old, resides in Noida, India, and has astonishingly long hair measuring 4 feet 9.5 inches (146 cm). Chahal was recently recognized by the Guinness World Records as the male teenager with the longest hair in the world.
Chahal states that he has never cut his hair for cultural and religious reasons. As a Sikh, he believes that his hair is a gift from God.

“I never thought I would become a world record holder because it seemed so far-fetched, but now I have done it. I feel incredibly proud because this hair has made me a very unique person in the world,” he added.
Chahal washes his hair twice a week, spending at least an hour each time to wash, dry, and comb it with the help of his mother.
In his childhood, Chahal was often teased because of his hair and the way he took care of it. He previously thought that as he grew older, he would eventually cut it. However, after achieving the Guinness record, he takes great pride in it.
Despite having relatively long hair, Chahal’s daily life proceeds normally without any issues. In his free time, he enjoys exercising, playing video games, and reading.

The Guinness World Record for the female teenager with the longest hair was established in 2020. This record belongs to Nilanshi Patel from Gujarat, India, with hair measuring 6 feet 6.7 inches (200 cm).
Ms. Xie Qiuping from China holds the record for the longest hair in the world, measuring 18 feet 5 inches (562 cm).
