This year, Apple officially launched 4 versions similar to last year: the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max.

The most notable improvement across the iPhone 15 series is the inclusion of a USB-C connection port, replacing Apple’s proprietary Lightning port.
Among them, the iPhone 15 Pro is the first smartphone to feature a connection port with data transfer speeds of up to 10Gbps, facilitating the easy transfer of large files between the phone and a computer.
Another significant enhancement on the iPhone 15 Pro duo is the ring/silent switch has been replaced with an “Action” button. Users can press this button to switch sound modes on the smartphone or quickly activate features like the camera, flashlight, and voice memo.

The back of the iPhone 15 Pro duo still features a triple camera setup, with the main camera maintaining a resolution of 48 megapixels, but with a larger sensor size for better low-light photography.
Accompanying this are two 12-megapixel cameras, including a telephoto and an ultra-wide camera. Notably, for the first time, Apple has equipped a periscope lens camera on its products, allowing the iPhone 15 Pro to achieve 5x optical zoom.
The iPhone 15 Pro supports 4K video recording, allowing direct file export to an external hard drive via the USB-C port. Apple also allows users to simultaneously use both cameras on the iPhone 15 to record “spatial” video, a type of 3D video viewable on Apple’s Vision Pro virtual reality headset.
Users can pre-order the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max starting today, ahead of the official release on September 22. The iPhone 15 Pro retains a base storage option of 128GB, while the iPhone 15 Pro Max starts with 256GB. The starting prices for these two products are 999 USD and 1,199 USD, respectively.
iPhone 15 and 15 Plus – Featuring Dynamic Island, Significantly Upgraded Camera
The iPhone 15 and 15 Plus retain the overall design and screen sizes of their predecessors, featuring 6.1-inch and 6.7-inch displays. However, Apple has upgraded the screen brightness to 2,000 nits, enhancing content visibility in sunlight.

The most noteworthy change in this new iPhone duo is the inclusion of the Dynamic Island cutout display, similar to the Pro versions. This means Apple has officially retired the “notch” design in its new iPhone models.

Another valuable upgrade in the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus is the main camera, which has been increased to 48 megapixels, up from the previous 12 megapixels. It is accompanied by a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera.
Apple continues to use the older A16 Bionic chip, which was featured in last year’s iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max, for the newly released iPhone 15 and 15 Plus. This new duo also includes satellite connectivity and traffic accident detection to automatically call for help.

Apple has also equipped the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus with USB-C ports, but the data transfer speeds are slower than those of the Pro duo.
Apple allows pre-orders for these two models starting September 15, with sales commencing on September 22. The iPhone 15 will be sold at a starting price of 799 USD, while the iPhone 15 Plus will start at 899 USD. Both products have a minimum storage option of 128GB.
