You may be familiar with the website “YouSendIt,” which facilitates file sharing over the Internet at: http://www.yousendit.com. Recently, YouSendIt has discontinued support for automatic file download software, making it challenging to download large files from their platform.
Therefore, in this article, we would like to introduce a free program called YSIGet, specifically designed for YouSendIt. This program will assist you in downloading files from YouSendIt to your computer at “lightning” speed.
The YSIGet program breaks down the file you need to download into smaller segments, downloading them simultaneously to your computer. Consequently, using YSIGet will save you a significant amount of time, eliminating the long wait for files to download from YouSendIt. Additionally, this program helps prevent the frustration of “interrupted downloads.”
Installing YSIGet:
– After downloading YSIGet to your computer, click on the file “YSIGet 0.99c.EXE” to install it.
– Once installed, YSIGet will be “integrated” into the system tray and right-click menu.
Configuring YSIGet:
– First, close all Internet Explorer windows (if any are open).
– Next, right-click on the YSIGet icon in the system tray and select “Preferences.”
– In the “General” tab, click the “…” button in the “Locations” section to choose the default folder for saving files downloaded by YSIGet.
– In the “Integration” tab, check the “Integration with Internet Explorer” option and select “Display in right-click menu.”
– Finally, click the “Apply” button, then click “OK.”
Using YSIGet:
– When you need to download a file from YouSendIt, right-click on the download link of the file.
– Then, select the “YSIGet it!” option from the right-click menu. The YSIGet program will download the file you need to the folder you have set as default.
