To effectively treat acne at its root using laser therapy, it is essential to directly target the sebaceous glands to prevent excessive oil production. Currently, only the new generation laser technology from the United States can meet this requirement.

To treat acne, doctors may prescribe topical medications, oral medications, injectables, or chemical peels. Additionally, the field of aesthetics utilizes optical therapy technology, sometimes combining it with the aforementioned methods to shorten treatment duration. The optical therapy currently applied in Vietnam mostly uses low-intensity IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) wavelengths suitable for targeting the bacteria P. Acnes, which causes acne.
CT3 – the new generation laser technology from the United States – is considered the only phototherapy method currently that directly impacts the sebaceous glands to treat acne at its root. This high-powered laser has been confirmed effective by the United States and is officially approved for use in treating acne, as well as for acne scar removal.
When applied to the skin, with a wavelength of 1,320 nm, the CT3 laser penetrates deeply to directly target the sebaceous glands, effectively shrinking them and preventing the excessive oil production that leads to acne. However, to penetrate the skin and exert a strong effect on the glands beneath without damaging the upper skin layer, the laser beam is equipped with a cryogen spray head and a temperature control head, all managed by a computer system. The cryogen spray cools the surface skin to protect it while allowing the laser to penetrate deeply into the sebaceous glands below. The temperature monitoring component connected to the computer ensures that the surface skin does not overheat, which could cause damage. If the surface temperature exceeds 45 degrees Celsius, the computer will automatically halt the laser emission. The laser treatment is performed once a week, continuously for about six weeks.
In addition to acne treatment, this laser device is also highly effective for many other aesthetic issues. It can target fibroblasts to stimulate collagen production in the dermis, tightening the skin around acne scars, removing existing scars, lifting and gradually filling in depressed scars, eliminating stretch marks on the abdomen and thighs, and reducing wrinkles on the face and neck.
For scar removal, stretch mark treatment, and wrinkle reduction, collagen begins to be produced approximately one week after laser treatment, continuing for several weeks thereafter. Results become noticeable after about 3-6 treatments, with each session spaced one month apart.
