The Ministry of Post and Telecommunications has submitted a proposal to the Prime Minister to include broadband Internet services (ADSL) in the list of services requiring quality management. This move aims to tighten the management of services further, ensuring that customers receive the highest quality.
According to Mr. Pham Hong Hai, the Director of the Telecommunications Department at the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications, the ministry plans to review the implementation status of ADSL service provision by companies that have been licensed to offer such services.
Companies that have been licensed for more than two years but have not launched their services will have their licenses revoked unless they provide a valid reason for the delay. Mr. Hai noted that there are 17 licensed companies, but only three have actually begun providing services: VDC, Viettel, and FPT.
