Currently, there are 16 provinces and cities in the country affected by the outbreak, including: Bac Giang, Quang Nam, Thanh Hoa, Hai Duong, Hung Yen, Ninh Binh, Hai Phong, Quang Ngai, Vinh Phuc, Bac Ninh, Son La, Hoa Binh, Thai Binh, Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen, and Cao Bang.
* On the same day, the Central Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology confirmed a case testing positive for the H5 avian flu virus in a patient named Vu Van H. (15 years old, from Hai Phong). The patient began showing symptoms on November 14, including fever and cough. It was noted that the patient had previously been in contact with sick and dead poultry; currently, their health is improving, and they do not require mechanical ventilation. Samples are being tested to identify the N antigen type.
