The results of the 2023 International Bird Photographer Awards have been announced. The outstanding award-winning piece belongs to photographer Jack Zhi.

Seventeen-year-old Anton Treksler was honored as the best young photographer for his work.
Rachel Bigsby won an award with her series “Angels”.
In the category “Most Beautiful Portrait”, the gold medal went to Nicholas Roisens for his work “The Shining Blue”.
The silver medal went to Thomas Vijayan for his work about a family of penguins.
In the nominated category “Behavior of Bird Species”, Jack Zhi achieved a decisive victory over Henley Spears with his photo of a green-footed kingfisher.
Also nominated in the category is Qiuqing Mu’s piece ‘Maternal Love’.

Second place went to Michael Eastwell with the photo “Face to Face”.
The Conservation Award, for efforts in bird conservation, went to Ripan Biswas for his piece “Endangered Birds”.
In the “Conservation” category, first place went to Ewan Heath-Flynn for the message “Do Not Incite War”.
