The causes of skin allergies can stem from clothes that, after washing, become contaminated with dust, mold, insects…
Skin allergies are a condition of temporary skin irritation. Common symptoms include redness of the skin, with some rashes featuring white blisters; the skin may itch at the site of the rash or even swell and turn red.
There are many causes that lead to allergic reactions, one of which comes from an unexpected source: freshly washed clothes. Many people mistakenly believe that clothes are completely clean after washing, but in reality, they can easily harbor allergens and increase the risk of skin diseases.
Dust
In many households, clothes are typically dried on balconies, rooftops, or any open area with sunlight and good airflow to help them dry quickly. However, these locations often contain a lot of dust, and damp clothes are more likely to attract dust, especially when there is wind.
Clothes dried outdoors easily attract dust.
Mold
The humid weather in Northern Vietnam and the rainy season in Southern Vietnam prevent clothes from drying completely when hung outside. Moisture leads to the accumulation and growth of mold on clothing. Mold can irritate the skin, especially for the sensitive skin of children.
Insects
Insects landing on clothes can cause skin allergies upon contact.
Pollen from insect wings and bacteria on their legs can also be triggers for skin allergies and respiratory-related illnesses. Many households with potted plants on their rooftops or in green areas inadvertently attract these creatures. There is a high likelihood that these insects will land on family clothes and cause allergic reactions.
