Stuart Murray, a resident of the coastal town of Portsoy in Scotland, was astonished to accidentally capture an angel during a sunset one evening.
One day, Stuart Murray (56 years old) was watching the sunset near his home in Portsoy, with the light stretching across the water as the sun dipped below the horizon. The light formed semi-circles on both the left and right sides where the sun was setting. It was so stunning that Stuart took out his phone to snap a few pictures.
To his surprise, the moment he clicked the shutter coincided perfectly with a reflection of light, making viewers feel as if they were seeing an angel with a halo, spreading its wings in the sky over the sea.

Stuart mentioned that he had long hoped to capture a beautiful sunset. “For many years, I’ve wanted to take a picture of a sunset, but I’ve never been able to do it, either due to work or the weather.
This time, the location where I took the photo is just a ten-minute walk from my home in Portsoy, where I’ve lived my whole life. It’s a picture of the sunset over Northern Scotland, along the Moray Firth coast. I took it on June 1 at 9:45 PM.” – Stuart shared with the Daily Mail.

Regarding the image of the sunset resembling an angel, Stuart noted that he is not a Christian but “I think I know what would come to most people’s minds if they saw the picture.”
As for the effect created by the sun, he believes it is likely due to the tranquil atmosphere at the time of the shot.
“I remember when I took the photo, a couple traveling by passed by, and I told them that I wasn’t a good photographer. Honestly, I just wanted to take a normal sunset picture like many others have.” – he recounted.
