Overheating during operation is a common phenomenon in most laptops. From the design of the chassis to the hardware structure, the main effort is to lower the temperature of the laptop while it is in use. However, the newest MacBook with Apple’s Intel chip has taken a step back in providing effective cooling solutions, resulting in higher than normal temperatures during use.
This overheating issue is explained by the plastic film that blocks the ventilation holes at the back of the device. During manufacturing and shipping, to prevent dust from entering the system, Apple used this plastic cover, which users should remove to allow hot air to escape.
Furthermore, the manufacturer explained that with such powerful and high-speed processors, rapid heating in laptops is a common issue across the industry. In other words, despite being called laptops, users are advised not to place their laptops on their laps due to the potential risks associated with overheating, even though the chances are low, they are not nonexistent.
