The company “Apple” has just launched the iMac G5 and a new iPod, featuring a design and functionality that far surpasses older models. Among these, the iMac G5 is 0.5 inches thinner and 15% brighter than its predecessor. Notably, this product introduces the interactive media technology Front Row for the first time.
The Front Row technology allows users to easily control music remotely, view images, and watch television shows from Apple’s website and other entertainment programs streamed through the iTunes Music Store on the iMac G5. The remote control features 6 buttons, reducing the number of buttons by over 30 compared to similar devices.
The new generation iMac G5 also includes a built-in video camera, enabling users to engage in video chats directly from the device using iChat AV software. This model comes in a 17-inch version with a 1.9 GHz Power G5 processor, priced above 31 million VND, and a 20-inch version with a 2.1 GHz Power G5 processor, priced around 39 million VND.
Alongside the iMac G5, Apple has also introduced the new “sleek” iPod. This product is attractive due to its harmonious and mysterious combination of black and white colors, featuring a 2.5-inch color display that is 30% thinner and offers 50% more storage than the previous generation iPod. This iPod can store over 15,000 songs, 25,000 photos, and 150 hours of video, available in two models: 30 GB and 60 GB. The 30 GB iPod has a battery life of 14 hours, priced at over 7.6 million VND, while the 60 GB model boasts a battery life of 20 hours, priced at nearly 10 million VND.
The new iMac G5 and iPod will be distributed by FPT Corporation in Vietnam starting mid this month.
