Sluli Recht, an Icelandic designer, has shocked the fashion world by announcing the creation of a “bulletproof handkerchief” designed for gentlemen who lead high-risk lifestyles.
This “life-saving handkerchief” is produced by Kevlar, a material five times stronger than steel, and is intended to be kept in the breast pocket to “protect a man’s heart” (see image). The fabric can withstand bullets and temperatures up to 400 degrees Celsius. It is the same material used to manufacture bulletproof vests and Formula 1 racing cars.
Currently, there are only ten of these fashionable handkerchiefs available, all in eye-catching yellow, offered at a price of $154 each. However, designer Sluli Recht emphasizes: “I take no responsibility for any foolish individuals who feel compelled to test the durability and endurance of the handkerchief in any way.”
