Deliberately Attacking a Giant Centipede, the Venomous Snake Paid a Heavy Price for Its Mistaken Decision.
In the clip, a venomous snake is seen attacking a giant centipede. However, the snake’s venom not only fails to incapacitate its prey but also results in the snake being bitten by the centipede. In immense pain, the snake opens its mouth wide to bite back, forcing the centipede to retreat.
Instead of giving up on its prey, the snake continues to launch another attack but encounters resistance from the centipede. Thanks to its sharp fangs and numerous legs, the centipede easily holds onto its opponent and injects venom into the snake’s body. Afterward, it slowly enjoys its lavish feast.
This deadly species of centipede can hunt prey up to 15 times its own size, thanks to venom that can induce convulsions.
The snake’s venom not only fails to incapacitate its prey but also results in the snake being bitten by the centipede.
Known as Sxin Spooky Toxin, the venom of the red-headed centipede wreaks havoc on the cardiovascular, respiratory, and nervous systems of its prey.
Terence Farrell, a biology professor at Stetson University in Florida, once stated to National Geographic: “Most animals tend to avoid centipedes. They have sharp fangs that create very painful bites.”
