This heart-stopping scene was captured in Tadoba National Park, Maharashtra, India.
In the video, a group of tourists on a safari suddenly finds themselves being chased by a tiger right behind their vehicle. Overwhelmed with fear, many tourists scream continuously. Even as the vehicle turns in another direction, the tiger persistently follows. The chase only ends when the vehicle accelerates forward.
Park staff reported that the tiger in the clip is named Choti Madhu. It was merely trying to playfully chase the tourists’ vehicle and had no intention of attacking. “If it wanted to attack, it would have jumped onto the vehicle immediately,” said a staff member.
Tigers are among the world’s top predators, and humans can sometimes fall victim to their sharp claws. Such attacks stem from the natural behavior of tigers. By nature, tigers are wild animals characterized by high aggression and a tendency to be easily provoked, so if a human gets too close, they may attack immediately.
In reality, this tiger was chasing tourists just to play.
Unlike other species, tigers rarely enter human territories. Most attacks occur when victims inadvertently wander into their habitat.
Tigers can also attack humans in cases of “misidentification” and sometimes due to a tourist getting too close. Some experts advise against biking or running in areas where tigers live to avoid provoking their hunting instincts.
