Bill Gates, the head of the giant Microsoft Corporation, has decided to donate $15 million from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to the Computer History Museum.
The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation is an organization founded by Bill and Melinda Gates.
The Computer History Museum, established in 1996, is the largest organization in the world dedicated to showcasing technology and computer products. A representative from the museum stated that the donation from Bill Gates is the largest contribution received to date.
The museum currently plans to develop an exhibition program and launch a specialized course, with estimated costs reaching $124 million. Therefore, the museum is seeking contributions and support from various sources.
“The impact of the technology revolution on modern society is immeasurable. This revolution changes our lifestyle, work, learning, communication, and even our games. Our mission today is to collect data and images of computer technology throughout its history—from its invention to today and into the future. This way, we will be able to explain and introduce future generations to the ongoing transformations of computers,” said Bill Gates.
