In the high-tech land of Japan, pet owners are benefiting from electronic assistance through devices that can watch over their four-legged friends.
AOS Technologies has just launched a remote control system capable of monitoring pets while their owners are away. The system, named iSeePet, can take pictures of the pet and send them to the owner’s mobile phone.
It also features an automatic food and water dispenser that alerts the pet when it’s mealtime. AOS plans to release this product, priced at 40,000 yen, to the market next January.
Meanwhile, Matsushita Electric Works is introducing a pet monitoring camera priced at 14,800 yen. This device uses sensors to track the pet’s movements, capture images, and send them to the owner’s computer or mobile phone.
“With this camera, I no longer need to be at home to watch over my pet,” stated a businesswoman.
